Winning Eleven: Pro-evolution Soccer 2007

Konami has procured licenses for 20 more teams this year, including the full roster of Argentina and, finally, the Netherlands. While WE9 was the first title in the franchise to go online, WE2007 will offer online play on all platforms, including handhelds and Xbox 360. The title also offers a new International Challenge mode that Konami says is a grand tournament featuring the world’s best international teams.

Gran Turismo HD

Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi spoke about the next Gran Turismo title in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu. There were two points of interest in the article. First, the parenthetical “working title” has been dropped from the name, implying that Gran Turismo HD is indeed the final title. Second, while Yamauchi lavished praise on the game’s high-definition graphics, he stated that the game was not the true next-gen heir to the popular racing series’ crown.

Final Fantasy XIII
Written by w2n on December 12, 2006 – 4:50 amFinal Fantasy XIII is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix. It is the 13th installment in the Final Fantasy series, and will be the first game of the series to be released on the Sony PlayStation 3. Unveiled at E3 2006, the game features a high-tech futuristic world, and a heroine who wields a gunblade-type weapon. Motomu Toriyama is the director of the game. According to Square Enix President Yoichi Wada, the storyline will focus on “those who resist the world”.
Final Fantasy XIII will run on the “White Engine“, a proprietary engine built for Square Enix’s next-gen games. The game was originally planned for the PlayStation 2 but was later moved to the PlayStation 3 after the development team discovered the power of the platform.
