Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
Written by aru on September 1, 2006 – 9:09 amThe Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is the third installment of the Prince of Persia series created by Jordan Mechner. The story began in The Sands of Time where the hero, simply referred as the Prince, created chaos by releasing the sands of time. In the second game, The Warrior Within, the Prince set out to undo the damages and chaos he had released. Since the series is supposed to be a trilogy, gamers should expect that The Two Thrones will see the Prince to finally fix all the damages for good.
This time the Prince has to save his kingdom.
In this game, the Prince returns home from the Isle of Time with Kaileena, the Empress of Time. All the joyous feeling of finally undone the damages he had unleashed from The Sands of Time is wrecked when he found his kingdom of Babylon is set on fire by the army of the Maharaja. Their ship is destroyed and the Prince once again found himself washed up ashore (as far as I can remember, having a shipwreck has always been a mandatory since the first Prince of Persia in 1991). Kaileena is taken by the enemies and now the Prince must go to save her (it would be interesting to have the Prince captured instead, and Kaileena takes the role of the saviour here, but heey..).

Saint Seiya: The Hades
Written by aru on August 20, 2006 – 8:27 pmSince I’m a big fan of the Saint Seiya anime series, I have no hesitation in purchasing this game. Although both I and w2n think that the anime will make a superb RPG game, Namco Bandai as its developer has decided to make a 3D fighting game instead.
Saint Seiya: The Hades is the follow up title to Saint Seiya: The Sanctuary released in 2005. In this game, player will have to battle against an army of Spectres who begin to claim back their powers after being held for 243 years by the might of Athena.

Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria
Written by w2n on August 15, 2006 – 1:34 pmFor RPG gamers, the wait for Valkyrie Profile sequel is over with the June 2006 release of Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria. The last release, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, was in 1999 and it breed a new life into the RPG genre, for its combination of RPG and side scrolling action, which delivered a unique gaming experience and attracted so many fans. Still, I consider the graphic of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth as ordinary for the then console’s technology.
Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria comes up with many new and interesting stuffs. New elements are added, resulting in fascinating gameplay.

Written by w2n on June 11, 2006 – 3:21 pmby w2n
Konami has released the fifth of their best RPG franchise, Genso Suikoden. This is after Genso Suikoden IV, which was good, and Genso Suikoden Tactic which earned praises from several websites although lacks in traditional RPG challenges.
The story of Genso Suikoden V is set 10 years before Genso Suikoden I and 1000 years after Genso Suikoden IV. It takes place in a land called Falena, which is located near Island Nation, which was the setting of Genso Suikoden IV.

The King of Fighters : Maximum Impact 2
Written by aru on May 27, 2006 – 3:53 amreview by: aru
The King of Fighters : Maximum Impact 2 is the second attempt by SNK Playmore to bring the franchise into the world of 3D. The first Maximum Impact in 2005 was a rather dissapointing experience, with its bland graphics, small number of fighters (compared to the 2D series), and cheap combos.
Care for a light, mate?
The second Maximum Impact takes its cue directly from the many shortcoming of the first one. Cool intro movie, more detailed, smoother and beautifully drawn graphics that match the expectation of a PS2 owner, excellent sound, brand new character sprites, moves and customes, a total of 38 fighters (including hidden ones), and less cheap combos.
